I was really pleased to be able to provide a piece of work for inclusion in the annual Nottingham Trent University Fine Art Auction held on April 13th in the Bonington Building atrium.
Coherent Points (Surface) is a limited edition silk screen print developed from work using scanned laser light onto a rotating structure. One of the artist proofs was part of a wide range of lots on the night which ranged from painting, construction, photography, ans sculpture.
There was a stunning collection of work from staff, students (current and past), visiting lecturers and friends of the course. Funds from the sale of work are used by the third year fine art students to produce and promote their end of course degree show and catalogue.
Bidding was 'energetic' and there were some rather 'stellar' prices with students and staff competing to grab their favourite lots. A great evening with some of the best food I’ve had at a student event - all lovingly prepared and given away free of charge by the organising students. They know how to draw punters!
Massive congratulations to the team which organised the auction which raised several thousand pounds on the night.
I managed to get hold of a pice of work from an artist I have had my ‘eye on’ for some time and have been outbid in previous years. This year was certainly my year!!

Notes: Developed from explorations initiated in the Summer Lodge 2015 residency at Nottingham Trent University.

Subsequent staging and testing at Primary Studio's Film Free and Easy, October 2015.
Installed as part of the Alternative Document Exhibition, Project Space Plus, Lincoln, UK, the piece incorporates three 35mm slide projectors, each projecting a single image of a rectangle (and bisecting line) onto the gallery wall.
Other work with the 'three planes' digital hologram has been undertaken in a variety of locations.

The Alternative Document exhibition runs alongside an international symposium of the same name, which brings together artists working in performance and the documentation of events/activities/moments.
A new work, 'Three - Nine', by Andrew Pepper, has been included in the exhibition, at the University of Lincoln's Project Space Plus, and brings together recent experimentation and exploration around the unsupported mark, there-ness and the peripheral view.

A new work by Andrew Pepper has been installed in the Alternative Document Exhibition, curated by Dr. Angela Bartram, along with an accompanying symposium at the university of Lincoln, UK.
'Three - Nine', 2016 is made up of three 35mm slide projectors (on gallery plinths) which illuminate the gallery wall and a centrally positioned digital hologram.

Mid Winter - Love Light includes 'Line Addition', one of Andrew Pepper's early works with drawing and holography made in association with Light Fantastic Gallery, London, in the 1980's.
Works were selected from the Ross collection and represent an international range of artists working with holography.
